Our Mission

“The mission of the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad is to provide excellent emergency medical services to the residents of the City of Fredericksburg by maintaining an elite squad of volunteer members who are educated, well-disciplined and reliable and who strive to provide a consistently high level of service in a community-oriented environment.  The members will adhere to the high standards established by and for the membership and will have pride in the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad organization and in the community it serves.”

Our Patch

In May 2006, FRS held a contest for all members to submit their ideas for a new and updated patch.  Numerous submissions were received and voted upon at the August 2006 Business Meeting.  This winning patch represents: American Flag and Virginia State Flag “FRS, Volunteering since 1940” Star of Life:   EMS Dive Flag:  Dive Team Compass:  Search & Rescue Jaws of Life:  Heavy Duty Rescue Bow Tie:  Tribute to Sam Perry
