Fredericksburg Fire Dept Open House 2015

Today, the Fredericksburg Fire Dept had their annual Open House. The original date, Oct 4th, had been pushed back to today due to the incoming hurricane. The festivities were held at Fredericksburg Fire Station 1 in Downtown. The crew at the Fire House had asked that we add to the fun with our barrel train and Unit 17.

The Fire Dept had many cool activities for the whole family. Activities included a bouncy house, fire extinguisher demos, mock physical agility tests, fire truck tours, face painting, vehicle extrication demos, and so much more. They also had a tactical EMS station where our own members were able to train and learn about different traumas and how to treat them.

The barrel train ride was a huge success with the children. We constantly had a full line for the next possible ride. You could also see some of our members having a good time on the train. It was fun for all ages.

A big shout out to all the members that helped out with the event and a big THANK YOU to our own Fredericksburg Fire Dept for the awesome experience.

Can't wait to do it next year!!!
