On Sunday, October 25, 2009, Mr. Walter B. Snellings, Medicolegal Death Investigator, Fredericksburg Region, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Commonweath of Virginia, visited our station to provide a unique presentation to our Junior Members as part of their monthly training.
Much information was learned from Mr. Snellings' presentation, including an overview of the:
· Medical Examiner System;
· Basic Investigative Techniques;
· Interaction with EMS, Fire & Law Enforcement;
· Jurisdiction of the Death;
· Case Studies;
· Emotions & Performance of EMS providers when encountering death scenes
This unique presentation was ended with a Question & Answer period.
As a proud member of the FRS Alumni, Mr. Snellings was kind enough to also share some of his FRS memories with us!
