At a recent meeting, we had the pleasure to award Life Membership to our secretary, chaplain, and board member Sandy Holland.

Life Membership in the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad is quite an achievement. To do so, for 10 years Sandy volunteered a minimum of 32 hours every month on the ambulance, responding to 911 calls for service. But for Sandy, this was not enough; she has also served as our secretary and chaplain, representing us at many official events throughout the greater Fredericksburg area.

She has been responsible for our Junior Program, giving young people from 14 to 18 years of age an opportunity to learn about EMS while serving the community. Many of these folks have gone on to become EMTs, paramedics, and other medical professionals.

Congratulations and thank you, Sandy! You are one of our most loyal and committed members and we are lucky to have you!
